Jo Nesbø

With his crime fiction series about criminal investigator Harry Hole, Jo Nesbø has established himself as one of the world’s bestselling crime writers. His books are published in more than 50 languages and he has sold over 36 million copies worldwide.

In his homeland Norway, Jo is acclaimed for more than his authorship: He is both songwriter and lead vocalist in Di Derre, a pop band popularly referred to as ‘The Sound of Norwegian ‘90s pop music’. Moreover, he has a background as financial analyst and has played professional football for Norway’s premier league team Molde. Indeed a man of many talents.

Furthermore, Jo Nesbø is a popular solo musician – frequently to be seen in intimate surroundings on a barstool with a guitar on his lap and musical companion Lars Jones by his side. The performances are characterised by Nesbø combining his unique storytelling skills with his own songs.

LARS JONES is a much sought-after multi-instrumentalist and session musician. In addition to his solo album Raindrops to the Desert (1996), Jones’ work includes collaborations with artists such as Anne Grete Preus, Dronning Mauds Land, Grete Svensen and Di Derre.
