Espen Beranek Holm
Espen Beranek Holm is a versatile and well-established actor, comedian, radio and television personality as well as musician, who holds an impressive stage record.
His 1981 debut single Dra te Hælvete sold more than 18.000 copies and spent 24 weeks in the Norwegian charts. The explicit language in its title (“Hælvete” translates into “hell”) led to a nationwide radio ban, which made the single spread further by word of mouth. The success was followed by a further seven album releases. For his 1983 release X-ray, Espen was awarded with a Spellemann (Norwegian Grammys) for Rock Album of the Year.
Alongside his solo music career, Espen is lead singer and guitarist in the power trio Oslo Plektrum with Jan Swensson and Øystein Jevanord.
Espen has created and featured in various radio and television productions by NRK, including Happy Hour, Hallo i uken, Videospeilet, Løvebakken, Maestro and Virtuos.
He holds a comprehensive stage record. Ever since he made his debut in the role of Danny in Grease at Oslo’s Chat Noir in 1984, Espen has delighted his audience by portraying characters such as Sir Bedevere in Monty Python’s Spamalot and the MC in Shockheaded Peter.
Over the years, Espen has collaborated with artists including Rune Andersen, Are Kalvø, Christine Hope, Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen and Marit Voldsæter.
Espen Beranek Holm is an experienced presenter and entertainer who can offer bespoke material for any event.
